Harness network science to reduce treatment resource disparities and social
Harness network science to reduce treatment resource disparities and social disadvantage This project aims to study how the patients’ social determinants and structural factors impact the functionality of the patient-physician network. Analyzing the ability of the patient- physician network to maintain an acceptable level in the face of COVID-19, the project would reveal how the pandemic exaggerated resource disparities, for example, in sex-gender and race; foresee the intensity and quality of healthcare in the public health system; and provide insights for dynamical physician allocation to combat and exit for future disease outbreaks.
